Information about the Farm Pick-up CSA
This CSA allows local members to come to the farm and pick thier choice of vegetables.
This is more like a farmers' market setting. We display the vegetables on tables
right in our washing/storage area (vegetable room) and members get to pick out
their "choices". One "choice" depends on the products value.
(Ex. 4 cucumbers is equal to one "choice", one bag of spring mix lettuce
equals one "choice") It sounds complicated but it is very simple once
you start. One of us farmers, Art, Larry, or Dave, are always there the first
couple weeks to make sure everyone understands.
Each week there are two "manditory choices". These are vegetables
that we have enough of for every member to have. "Manditory choices"
are rarely repeated throughout the season unless it is a specailty that everyone
enjoys, such as strawberries.
