Highland Park Drop-off
Map
Location
- Highland Park, Pittsburgh
- The drop site is located at 5637 Rippey Street. It is close to the Home Depot
off of Penn Circle.
Basic Description of this Drop-site Program
We
determin what we have ready and available for that week. We then hand pick the
produce, wash it, bag the parishables (lettuce, spinach, green beans...etc),
and fill each personal crate to the correct amount depending on Regular or Advanced
Membership. Next we deliver it to the designated drop site. Early in the season
it is very difficult to produce enough diversity of crops to fullfill all of
the choices therefore we do supplement with local free-range eggs, honey from
the bees that pollinate our crops, homemade jams/jellies, and local organic
cheese.
